CITY OF LINWOOD RUNS BOX TO CHESTER TOWNSHIP

Around 9:30 a.m. the Company was dispatched to Chester Twp for RIT at the Trash Transfer Station for the Building .Chester Twp. P.D and Medic 81-7 arrived on scene with heavy smoke showing. Truck 63 arrived followed by Rescue 39 who was the first due RIT, and was asked by truck 63 to perform engine duties due to the lack of man power on scene at the time. Rescue 39 sent there crew of 6 to assist Truck 63 crew and have the next Engine take the plug which was Engine 52 who established water supply to the Truck.  Engine 40 arrived shortly after. Crews put multiple hand lines in service off of Truck 63 to start knocking down the fire. 40-9A(Fuller, Jr.) established the Command, and turned it over to 47 Command(J.Bobak) once they arrived on location. Frontend loaders were utilized to move the trash to gain access to extinguish the fire. The fire was placed under control in about an hour and a half. While we were operating on the scene in chester township our cover Engine 09 along with Medic 100-7 were dispatched to Ridge Rd and Blueball Ave for an accident with injuries. Units arrived with a 2 vehicle minor mva. Engine 09 went availible while the medics obtained refusals.
